Would you like the opportunity to be actively involved in helping to improve mental health services?
Research is a core part of the NHS – helping us to find causes of mental health problems and leading to improvements in treatments and services. Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust’s aim is to translate research findings into clear improvements in health and wellbeing for people with mental health problems and related issues.
What does participating in research involve?
It can be varied – from completing questionnaires and attending interviews about your experiences, to having an MRI scan or blood test. We have a broad portfolio of studies and it is likely that there will be something to suit everybody.
What are the benefits of taking part?
- Help us to develop our understanding of mental health diagnosis and enhance available treatments.
- Access new treatment options which may not be readily available on the NHS (e.g. psychological therapies)
- Have the opportunity to feedback on your experiences of services and the treatment you receive.
- Actively contribute to future improvements in health care.
- You will often be reimbursed for your time and travel expenses are covered.
- Support is offered to you by members of the research team throughout the duration of the study.
How do I get involved?
Choosing to take part in research is completely voluntary; it is entirely up to you to decide whether to participate. If you would like to find out more please get in touch with the research team:
