Peer Researcher Volunteer

Could you help improve our mental health service in Wokingham GP practices by obtaining feedback from people who have used our services? Do you have lived experience of mental health challenges?
As a Peer Researcher, you will support clients to give honest feedback to improve the Wokingham Wellbeing Service Project.
This role will involve:
- Calling previous service users to gather feedback about their service experience.
- Booking appointments for in-depth interview.
- Explaining your role and creating a safe and understanding space to share honest feedback.
- Logging accurate feedback and sharing this with Mind in Berkshire staff.
Time commitment: One 4 hour shift on a Wednesday, alternating weeks, for a minimum of three months.
Location: This role will be based at our office in central Wokingham. Travel expenses reimbursed.
Skills needed: Volunteers need to be organised, computer literate and good communicators. You will ideally have previous lived experience of mental health challenges, either personally or with friends or family.
Training and support provided: You will receive one day of Induction training, one half day of Peer Researcher training. Ongoing individual and group supervision will be provided as required.
Application process: You will complete an application form, followed by informal interview, two references and a DBS check.
