Walking for Wellbeing
Want to get out in nature to support your wellbeing?
We run free wellbeing walks in Oxford and Banbury, to help people get active and find nature in their local area. These are gently paced walks through green spaces, and are suitable for all abilities. Our walks are led by volunteers.

How long are the walks? Walks usually last 45 minutes to an hour.
When and where do the walks take place? The walks start and end at our Wellbeing Hubs in Banbury and Oxford. These are accessible on public transport or on foot. We have a range of circular walks which take us from the hubs to local green spaces. Each week we choose our route together as a group.
The walks run on a Tuesday in Oxford and Wednesday in Banbury (exact timings shared after signing up).
How do I sign up to attend the walks? You need to have an Options Session with us before you can access the walks. We will then put you in touch with our Walking for Wellbeing Team, who will run through some ground rules and tell you more about the walks. We will get in touch each week to see whether you’d like to attend the walk that week.
Who can access the walks? Our walks are open to people aged 18+. You will need to have had an Options Session in the last 12 months and to agree to the ground rules of the walks before you can attend.
For more information and to sign up please contact our Information Service on [email protected] or call 01865 247788.
With thanks to Active Oxfordshire for funding these walks.
