Oxfordshire Mind is dedicated to the needs of all the residents of Oxfordshire who use our services.
Our Vision is – “We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect”. The Coronavirus is bringing us significant challenge but this commitment remains and indeed is strengthened.
Our key message is – we are here for you. Our services are operating, our staff and volunteers are all working, and we will support anyone who needs help. We have no plans to reduce our staff numbers (indeed recruitment to fill positions is ongoing) and are fully aware that if anything the need for our work will be increased in the weeks and months to come.
Of course in common with all other organisations, we are having to make significant and rapid changes to how we deliver services. In particular we are all having to work from home more, we have had to reduce the level of face-to-face contact, and help more people via the phone or video services. We are engaged with our colleagues and partners in the NHS, Local Authority, and other 3rd sector organisations in considering how best to adapt to the current circumstances.
If anyone has any questions regarding their mental health or the mental health of anyone they know, or if anyone has any questions regarding our services, you should:
- Take a look at our website
- Contact the Oxfordshire Mind Information Service either via email ([email protected]), web enquiry or by phone on 01865 247788.
So many people are working incredibly hard at the moment to keep our communities safe. I want to say how proud we all are of the work done by Oxfordshire Mind staff and volunteers, and of course all the users of our services.
Information on how to maintain your personal wellbeing given the Coronavirus can be found here.
We extend our best wishes to you all at this time.
Dan Knowles,
Chief Executive Officer – Oxfordshire Mind
