With the stunning scenery of Blenheim Palace as a backdrop, a 12-strong team from 3rd Regiment Royal Logistics Corps set out to break a Guinness World Record. The team were attempting to set the record for the farthest distance pulling a vehicle in 12 hours as a team!
At 10pm on Wednesday 4th March, the team began their challenge pulling a 4000lb van that had been kindly donated by DHL. The team rotated in groups of four to pull the van as far as they could. After a gruelling 12 hours, at 10am the next morning, the fantastic team reached 76.38 km and became official world record holders!
Throughout their preparations, the team raised much awareness about mental health. They set up a Virgin Money Giving page to raise funds for Oxfordshire Mind and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. If you would like to support the team to reach their target, you can do so here.
A huge congratulations to all those involved and thank you for choosing to support Oxfordshire Mind!
