Oxfordshire Mind Welcomes Adam Kay as Inaugural Patron

Oxfordshire Mind is delighted to announce the appointment of bestselling author, comedian, and former doctor Adam Kay as the charity’s inaugural Patron. Adam will officially joins Oxfordshire Mind in this exciting new role, marking a significant milestone in the charity’s mission to challenge stigma, advocate for mental health, and promote wellbeing for all.

Adam Kay is no stranger to Oxfordshire Mind, having headlined the 2023 Comedy Gala at the Oxford Playhouse,  where his sharp wit and heartfelt reflections left a lasting impression on attendees. This new collaboration builds on that successful partnership and paves the way for fresh opportunities to amplify the charity’s work. Based in Oxfordshire, Adam expressed his desire work with his local mental health charity and wished to support his local community as much as possible.

Widely known for his bestselling memoir This is Going to Hurt and his candid approach to discussing mental health and wellbeing, Adam has become a passionate advocate for mental health causes. His personal experiences and his platform as an influential author and entertainer make him an ideal fit to champion Oxfordshire Mind’s mission.

As Patron, Adam will bring his unique voice, visibility, and creativity to the charity’s key initiatives, including media campaigns, public advocacy, and events. By leveraging Adam’s profile, Oxfordshire Mind aims to expand its reach, engage new audiences, and drive lasting change in mental health awareness and support across Oxfordshire and Berkshire West.
