No one should have to face a mental health problem alone, with your help, we can be there for everyone who needs us.

Help is simply not reaching our young people early enough 50% of mental health problems start before the age of 14, and 75% before the age of 25. We know that prevention and early  intervention are critical.

We’ve supported over 1000 children and young people this year, but we won’t stop until everyone who needs us, regardless of age, has somewhere to go for both support and respect.

We need your help. To keep making the impact we do we are asking people of Oxfordshire to get behind this winter appeal, our community can play a pivotal role in building a brighter, more hopeful future for young people.

Why we chose Children and Young People for the theme of this years campaign

For Oxfordshire Mind, this year’s 2024 Winter Appeal offers a chance to highlight a particularly urgent issue: the mental health of children and young people (CYP). This decision wasn’t made lightly. With insights gathered from youth forums, worrying statistics, and a growing awareness of the unique pressures facing today’s younger generation, Oxfordshire Mind is bringing much-needed attention to an aspect of mental health that is too often overlooked. Read our blog on why we made this decision.

A Guide to Mindful talk

Oxfordshire Mind visited The Down’s School in Newbury, to host a workshop on talking with trusted adults. With support from the students we co-create this free “low pressure conversations download” for all to use and the students came up with some incredible ideas and suggestions. A special thank you to all the students and teachers at The Downs School for supporting our Winter Appeal and sharing your thoughts.
