During August several groups of young people involved in a local National Citizenship Service (NCS) have been fundraising for Oxfordshire Mind.
The groups of 15-17 year olds are part of an NCS project run in Oxfordshire which gives the teams the chance to meet new people and gain and develop skills for work & life.
Over the past month the following groups have been fundraising and campaigning for Oxfordshire Mind:
- NCS Oxford A spend 3 days decorating our Oxford City hub, The Mill, and put on some charity stalls in Oxford, raising £697.23
- NCS Oxford C held a bake sale and did some bag packing at M&S in Oxford, raising £372.89
- NCS Witney A held a Wheel Chair Dance-a-thon and Cake Sale. The event included lots of activities to help raise awareness for wheelchair accessibility and mental health, raising £288.91
- NCS Witney C promoted Oxfordshire Mind and their music event on BBC Oxford radio. The gig in aid of the charity raised £349.65
We’re all very grateful for their hard work and wish the teams the best of luck for the future.
